La Fondazione Bertarelli was founded in 2009 by Maria Iris Bertarelli and her brother, Claudio Tipa, its President and Vice-President respectively.
The Fondazione works in their home province of Grosseto, Italy, and the wider Tuscany region, initiating and contributing to community projects with a cultural and social emphasis. The aim throughout is to help enhance and support the area’s rich artistic, architectural, archaeological and environmental heritage.
Projects include sponsorship of the magnificent Amiata Piano Festival, now approaching its tenth anniversary, the redevelopment of the historic centre of the town of Poggi del Sasso, environmental workshops with the Teatro Stabile di Grosseto and archaeological research conducted in partnership with the University of Siena.
More information on the scope of the Fondazione’s work can be found on its website.
